Round the Rain-bow

Yay! I finally finished another painting! This one is called Round the Rain-Bow, because obviously it is round, and it was inspired by rainbows and bow pose. This is actually my favorite painting that I've made so far. Maybe it's the square canvas or the composition, I'm not sure. The flower design is a metallic white color. The photograph doesn't capture the colors exactly.

"Round the Rain-Bow" and four of my other yoga paintings are currently for sale at Yoga Matrika, which is located in Squirrel Hill. Yoga Matrika is a beautiful studio that offers a wide range of different yoga classes, workshops, and massages. Yoga Matrika is hosting a hand-made holiday and celebration featuring handmade herbals and aromatherapy, eco-friendly yoga equipment, locally made crafts and special classes and events. The boutique is open extra hours for shoppers:

Saturday, December 5 from 2:00 - 7:00 pm,
Saturday, December 12 from 2:00 - 7:00 pm,
and December 13 from 12:00 - 3:30 pm.

For more details check out Yoga Matrika's website. It's definitely worth checking out for the yoga classes and your first class is only $5! Hope to see you there!

One last bit of news - a new set of classes is starting at Le Bella's Studio in Springdale. I'll be teaching a six week drawing class for ages 11 - 14 starting Monday, December 7. If you know any young adults looking to learn or improve their drawing skills, you can still sign up. Call (724) 274-6330. Don't forget that Le Bella is a great place to shop for local handmade crafts!
